The Thor child costume is a little version of the adults costume. In all respects the design is exactly the same except that there is a bit of padding around the biceps to make the wearer look more musclebound. Given that less material is used to make the outfit it is also quite a bit cheaper too.

So this costume is based on the movie that is set to come out this year (may apparently). It’s a blockbuster movie and it’s be released to get the blockbuster crowds in. And in this day and age, a blockbuster film means it will be shot in 3D.
The film is being directly by Kenneth Branagh which seems quite odd really as he is not really the type of guy to make action adventure, blockbuster type movies. He is best known for directing film adaptions of Shakespeare plays, most notably Hamlet.
However, in Shakespeare’s time, his plays were the action adventure, blockbuster equivalent so maybe Branagh will not struggle to make the movie. I’ll bet it’s slightly different to the normal superhero type film though.
The costume featured here consists of three pieces. There is the jumpsuit that covers the complete body. This replicated the body and leg armor that is worn by our hero. It has a 3D design, which means that it is not just a single colored piece of material but has detail in it to make it look like the wearer is really wearing body armor.
You also get a red cape that can be removed if that’s the way you roll. And the final piece is the winged helmet. This completely covers the head and looks pretty impressive.
One thing to note is that the all important hammer does not come with the costume. You have to get it separately which is a bit of a downer but it’s not that expensive and you don’t really need a hammer if push comes to shove.
This costume will be ideal for kids that are fascinated by the character, be it in the comic book form or more probably from the big screen. Or are interested in Viking costumes in general as part of their school studies or general reading. Little boys will be able to charge around the backyard dressed as Thor the Norse God of Thunder. It would make a great costume for Halloween or even a themed birthday party or some other get-together. If he has some buddies they could dress as other members of the Avengers and save mankind from the bad guys.
