Basically, this story is about how an ancient war is ignited once again due to the Mighty Thor’s recklessness and arrogance. Thor is then cast a life on Earth as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

This 2011 film is based on the superhero character published by Marvel Comics and the movie is actually the fourth film made by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Not only is this movie directed by the famous Kenneth Branagh but its cast has two Oscar winners, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, and also stars Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgard.

A bit on the character Sif

Sif is the long time lover and companion of Thor.  This Asgardian warrior, when not in battle with the Norse god, she finds herself worrying and also searching for him.  She is well skilled in hand to hand combat and she has enhanced longevity, durability, and strength.
